Our love affair with wonderfully diverse and fascinating Morocco started 10 years ago, when we renovated a Riad in the centre of Marrakech’s historic medina. Since then we have travelled in all directions to explore the less well known Morocco such as the rich agricultural regions in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains.
This ‘Garden of Eden’ has been supplying local markets for generations and is a wonderful source of traditionally cultivated, natural, healthy produce, rich in nutrients as well as exciting new tastes.
Gordon Davidson has over 30 years of experience as a Business Consultant, including in the food and drinks sector and now divides his time between the UK and Morocco.
His meticulous attention to detail has helped to build the quality assurance and traceability procedures necessary to guarantee provenance for UK and European markets.
Bob Watson has a lifetimes experience of operations within the food and drinks industry including brewing, distilling, soft drinks, bottled water and is a recognised industry expert.
He is currently a Director of the British Soft Drinks Association and is a Board member and Vice President of the European Federation of Bottled Waters. Gordon and Bob have been friends for almost 40 years, since their university days in Edinburgh.
Jaouad Hadani is a Moroccan accountant specialising in servicing English speaking clients.
His family has strong agriculture connections and prior to his graduation, Jouad organised logistics to bring his family produce to market.
His extensive knowledge of local farming, traditions and culture were invaluable in combining the best of traditional practices with modernising methods.
Linda now runs one of the most successful Riads, in the centre of Marakech’s medina welcoming guests from all around the world.
Linda is also a key social media influencer in Marrakech.
